RISC-V Software Packages
This page provides pre-built binaries for RISC-V architecture, saving developers hours or even days of compilation time. All packages are built periodically with the latest versions on RISC-V hardware (Pioneer Box running Debian Trixie) to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Why use these binaries?
Many essential development tools lack official RISC-V binaries and can take extensive time to compile from source (Chromium: 2+ days, Qt5: 12-38 hours, LLVM: 8-24 hours). We provide optimized, ready-to-use builds so you can focus on development instead of waiting for compilation.
Build Schedule:
Automatic builds run monthly, ensuring you always have access to the latest versions.
Tainted Packages
Some packages do not provide native RISC-V support. For these, the CI workflows include patches that enable RISC-V compatibility before the build process; such packages are marked as tainted in their names.
Need a package added or want to contribute?
We encourage you to reach us out and provide the package name/source which you would like for us to add in this list. This will help adoption of RISC-V ISA.
