Terms of Service for Cloud-V
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Cloud-V services ("Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Cloud-V.
2. Description of Service
This Acceptable Use Policy (henceforth, AUP) governs the use and access of all the hardware, emulated, and software resources of Cloud-V mentioned in the documentation at:

This policy also sets out how Cloud-V will meet the needs of users. These services are subject to the Terms.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use Cloud-V per all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for any content you submit through Cloud-V. The user agrees to follow the usage policy for Cloud-V.
4. Prohibition of unethical means
While using Cloud-V, users must not engage in any activities that are considered unethical, including but not limited to:

Manipulation, exploitation, or unfair use of the provided resources

Violation of privacy rights or unauthorized access to data

Plagiarism, infringement of intellectual property, or unauthorized use of copyrighted materials.

Use of the provided resources for illegal purposes or activities.

Users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that upholds integrity, honesty, and respect for others at all times while using Cloud-V and its related resources.
5. Fair Use
Cloud-V is a service being provided to grow and develop the RISC-V ecosystem. If resources are being provided for free, the user agrees to use the service to develop RISC-V hardware or software. Paid users may have greater flexibility in using resources, based on their subscription agreements with Cloud-V.
Additionally, the following requirements apply to all users:

Using cloud resources for crypto mining and related activities is prohibited. This is to ensure fair use so that everyone can use the resources

Trying to constantly hog resources over a long period is also prohibited. Cloud-V may provision resources to allow for fair use

There may be other fair use restrictions based on Cloud-V’s discretion
6. Account Registration and Security
You may need to create an account to use certain features of Cloud-V. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and are liable for all activities that occur under your account.
7. Privacy
7.1. Interaction with the user-provided information
The information users provide while interacting with Cloud-V is used only where required for providing necessary use of resources. All personal information of users of Cloud-V is concealed and encrypted where possible. Users have all the rights to request the removal of their provided information from Cloud-V.
7.2. Visibility of data on Cloud-V
All the information of Cloud-V is displayed such that if it is open-source, it will be visible publicly otherwise it will be kept private. Users can always request to change how their data is displayed on the Cloud-V Platform.
Your use of Cloud-V is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Modifications to Terms
Cloud-V reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will become effective upon posting. Your continued use of Cloud-V after changes to the Terms indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
8.1. Modification of Terms
8.1.1. Updates and Amendments:
Cloud-V reserves the right to update, amend, or modify this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at any time and for any reason. Users will be notified of such changes through appropriate channels, and continued use of the Cloud-V platform after the effective date of such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8.1.2. Review and Acceptance:
Users are encouraged to regularly review the AUP to stay informed about any changes. By continuing to use the Cloud-V platform, users acknowledge and agree to be bound by the most current version of the AUP.
8.2. Additional Features and Services
8.2.1. Introduction of New Features:
Cloud-V may, at its sole discretion, introduce new features or services to enhance the functionality of the platform. The use of such features may be subject to additional terms, which will be communicated to users through the appropriate channels.
8.2.2. Termination or Modification of Features:
Cloud-V reserves the right to terminate or modify any features or services provided within the platform without prior notice. Users acknowledge that Cloud-V shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from such termination or modification.
8.3. Compliance with Applicable Laws
8.3.1. Legal Compliance:
Users agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards when using the Cloud-V platform. If changes in legal requirements necessitate modifications to the AUP, Cloud-V may make such modifications without prior notice to ensure compliance.
8.4. Discretionary Actions
8.4.1. Exercise of Discretion:
Cloud-V reserves the right to exercise its discretion in enforcing the terms of this AUP. This includes, but is not limited to, the interpretation of contractual provisions, resolution of disputes, and application of penalties for violations.
8.4.2. Good Faith:
Cloud-V will exercise its discretion in good faith and with the best interests of its user community and the platform in mind.
8.5. Contact Information
8.5.1. Communication:
Users agree to provide accurate and up-to-date contact information to receive notifications about changes to the AUP or other important information related to the use of the Cloud-V platform.
9. Termination
Cloud-V reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services for violation of these Terms or any other reason.
10. Disclaimers
Cloud-V is provided "as is" without any warranties. We do not warrant that the services will be error-free or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cloud-V shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Governing Law
This AUP is governed by the laws of your jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from or related to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your jurisdiction.
